The Cabernet Sauvignon has elegant aromas of dark fruit, blueberries, bramble berries, and white flowers on the nose that continue into the glass followed by notes of toasty oak and sage. Deep, dark ruby in appearance. Great depth, with ripe, juicy tannins, and a plush mouthfeel. This is a complete wine, fully balanced, with good lift. Aged in 90% new French Oak barriques for 20 months.

All varietal from the estate vineyard on Red Mountain, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Upchurch Vineyard was brought up in 100% new French oak. Its ruby/purple hue gives way to a beautifully fruited, upfront, expressive Cabernet that has ample red and blue fruits interwoven with notions of bay leaf, sage, and spicy, floral nuances. With medium to full-bodied richness, a layered, supple mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish, it's not a blockbuster, but it shines for its charming, elegant, complex style. It should evolve gracefully for 10-15 years.
